No, I am not talking about the movie Heist, I’m talking about Payday: The Heist, I know the 2nd one came out recently and I’ve been meaning to get it but I haven’t picked it up yet, with Grand Theft Auto V’s recent release I’m sure most people are on that anyways. Payday: The Heist is a FPS game with very similar mechanics as Left 4 Dead, so if you ever played L4D you’ll be sure to pick up this game very quickly.
Going on heists isn’t a easy job with 2 AI and sure would be easier and more fun with a group of 4, certainly need team work to fight off hundreds of SWAT and cops while doing the objectives. For $19.99 I’d say give this game a try, it’s not everyday that you can simply wake up and decide to rob a bank and plant C4 to escape without a hitch!
Here I have 3 heists for you to check out if you haven’t seen it yet on our Active Variety channel
For more Left 4 Dead, Cry of Fear, or Payday videos check out Active Variety !
With all this talk of Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 being spotted on an internal changelog when a Dota 2 player snapped a photo of it while touring in the headquarters of Valve got me all pumped up.
As we all know Gabe loves to horse around with us I can’t say I’m not skeptical of Left 4 Dead 3 being released anytime soon or at all. But I have faith! Could they be using source 2 engine for Left 4 Dead 3? How awesome would that be?
I absolutely loved Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 and with over thousands of hours clocked in total, owning the game on both PC and XBox 360 you bet I’ll be all over Left 4 Dead 3! In all honesty I didn’t think they would make a 3rd installment of Left 4 Dead, with no real news of Left 4 Dead 3 being release I was ready to die happy with just 2.
I wonder how the story will play out, and is it going to be more competitive instead of co-op? I love the concept of having melee weapons, I hope they add more variety of melee weapons and maybe add booby traps in some maps. Would be nice if they add a little more horror into the game too.
Is it time to gather up a new epic team of 4 to kick some ass in Versus mode?
If the game is really coming out in the future, what do you hope to see in the game?
If you’re interested you can check out more pictures they took from the tour here.

Today Active Variety bring you another Left 4 Dead 2 custom map. This one is called Silent Hill: Otherside of Life according to the map developer Leafo said that the map is based on various events, real life locales and other weird random events from games and movies.
The map so far is pretty damn long for being a custom map, I wasn’t able to keep the video short enough to fit it all in one video unless I just skip through most parts, first initial impression of the map: awesome custom audio and texture of the campaign it self, even the characters have their own custom outfit which I find it interesting.
The map maker said that the map is meant to be played as single player campaign but as Nick and I continue with the map we find the AIs to be a little hard to work with.. The custom map is 90% done, so far he updates it pretty often which is good. Hope you guys enjoy Silent Hill: Otherside of Life, to be continued..
This is episode 4 of Left 4 Dead 2’s custom map Dniepr on Active Variety, overall Nick and I enjoyed the custom map, I was afraid it might be short like most of the other custom maps but it was a good decent length.
Did you know Left 4 Dead have their own trading card game over Steam? If you are in the beta you can view them in your profile, you will receive 4 cards for owning Left 4 Dead 2, there are 8 cards total. To complete 8 cards you will need to trade with friends or even just people you come across. Hey, another way to meet new people right?
When you complete collecting all 8 you can craft it into a badge and earn emoticon item, profile background, chance to get a discount coupon, and 100 experience points for your steam level.
How do you guys feel about trading card games? It reminds me of back in the days when people used to trade Pokemon cards or Magic cards.
Will be glad to do more Left 4 Dead videos when we get back 🙂 we might do more custom maps or default maps in expert mode. Will take any suggestions of what other games to play multiplayer or single players as usual.
BLARG on another note.. Cleamie’s brain isn’t working at the moment, having to wake up super early to do inventory at work and so much to do for the past week very overwhelming will send my love to you all this weekend 🙂 On hour 21 of being awake. Goodnight all have a safe and wonderful weekend!
