Dota 2 International Day 1 Just ended, and I’ve got to say I’ve never been so immersed in watching eSports before. I started watching it when the first game just started around 12:30pm, it was Upper Bracket – Natus Vincere vs Orange.Neolution. Spoiler: Na’Vi lost the first round but turned around and kicked ass in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
All the teams did great, one of the highlight for me that was amazing to watch was when LGD-Gaming.Int vs Fnatic in the Lower Bracket. Fnatic did an amazing job after losing to TongFu in the Upper Bracket.
Invictus Gaming won first place in The International 2012 so I’m excited to see how they will do up against DK tomorrow.
You can watch them Live here! Start at the same time 12PM.
Also if you missed it you can watch Day 1 HERE!
With all this talk of Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 being spotted on an internal changelog when a Dota 2 player snapped a photo of it while touring in the headquarters of Valve got me all pumped up.
As we all know Gabe loves to horse around with us I can’t say I’m not skeptical of Left 4 Dead 3 being released anytime soon or at all. But I have faith! Could they be using source 2 engine for Left 4 Dead 3? How awesome would that be?
I absolutely loved Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 and with over thousands of hours clocked in total, owning the game on both PC and XBox 360 you bet I’ll be all over Left 4 Dead 3! In all honesty I didn’t think they would make a 3rd installment of Left 4 Dead, with no real news of Left 4 Dead 3 being release I was ready to die happy with just 2.
I wonder how the story will play out, and is it going to be more competitive instead of co-op? I love the concept of having melee weapons, I hope they add more variety of melee weapons and maybe add booby traps in some maps. Would be nice if they add a little more horror into the game too.
Is it time to gather up a new epic team of 4 to kick some ass in Versus mode?
If the game is really coming out in the future, what do you hope to see in the game?
If you’re interested you can check out more pictures they took from the tour here.
You know what time it is.. It’s Steam Summer Sale time, going from July 11th ~ July 22nd. How are you guys surviving so far?
As you all know every year Steam holds a Summer Sale for many popular game titles, this year is no different, every single year I always end up spending money on games that I never would finish.
This year they stepped up their game by adding the trading cards that I mentioned few posts back where you collect cards and get rewarded with random profile background, more cards, experience points to level up on steam to unlock more profile options and more friend list slots. You collect the cards by playing the games that has cards available to them and trade them with your friends or buy/sell them on the marketplace.
Today I want to share a few tips on how to survive Steam’s Summer Sale.
1. Set A Limit
Don’t go all crazy seeing all the discounts and start buying every game you see! A lot of these games actually drops 20-45% more later on in the week! So set a budget on how much you are willing to spend for the sale. Write every thing you bought down and the price you bought it for down if you have to. If you are going to participate in the trading card game and are going to buy cards in the market set a limit on that too.
Another great way to keep reminding yourself the games you really V.S. the game you kind of want and probably won’t even play is add the games you really want to get on your wishlist, steam actually have this great system now that they’ll email you when there’s a big discount on the games on your wishlist.
3. Trading Cards
If you get duplicate cards or you just don’t want to do the trading card game sell them on the market place! They may range from 10 cents to 50 cents for the normal cards but in the end they add up, you can use the money towards a game you want.
If you are into the trading cards try trading them with friends before hitting the market place.
Note: Every 10$ you spend you get a trading card, by voting in Community Choice you will get 1-2 trading cards as well and you can get limited amount of cards by playing certain games with cards available to them.
4. Flash Sales & Community’s Choice
There are new Flash Sales every 8 hours, keep a look out for your favorite games on the flash sale, and vote for Community’s Choice they give you a trading card or two.
5. Don’t Worry
You missed a Flash Sale or Community’s Choice on a game you really would love to have? Don’t worry, they’ll most likely go down to the same price again during the week. For example: Borderlands 2($10.19) won the Community’s Choice a couple of days ago and the price went back up 8 hours later and now it’s down again to the same price. So did Hitman: Absolution ($6.24).
If you’re worry about overspending? Tell your trusty friends to look out for you, they can see all the games you purchased on steam activity.
Hope you guys find that a little helpful, happy steam summer sale!
I’m curious to know what games did you get from the Steam Summer Sale that you won’t regret? For me would be Sleeping Dog and Season Pass to Borderlands 2.
Hey everybody, enjoying the weather today? The long awaited Left 4 Dead 2 video is finally here!
We are playing a custom map that just came out not too long ago call Dniepr, I’ve tried out a lot of custom maps and so far this one is very well done, I’m very impressed. So I thought it would be nice to share the adventure with you all! Would love to try this map on versus mode too!
A little overview of Left 4 Dead:
Left 4 Dead 2 is a sequel to Valve’s game Left 4 Dead that came out on October of 2008, both games set during the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Both Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2 are a first-person shooter, it is very important to play cooperatively whether it’s Versus, Scavenge, Realism, Survival or just plain ol’ Campaign mode.
Each maps are composed with three to five stages, the Survivors have to fight their way through to reach a safehouse, on the way you may find supplies or weapons you will need to reach the goal. The final stage is a rescue stage you’ll either have to survive waves of onslaught until the rescue arrives or there are varies of challenges you face before the rescue comes depending on the map.
I started out playing Left 4 Dead 1 on Campaign mode, I loved it spent hours on end playing it on expert 🙂 It wasn’t till Left 4 Dead 2 when I started getting into Versus and Scavenge mode. These two 4-on-4 competitive modes are really fun when you have a great team.
Even though I stopped playing Left 4 Dead for quite a while now, after recording this video I realized how much I actually missed the game and it brings back good memories.
So for those who played Left 4 Dead 1 or Left 4 Dead 2 I want to know what is your favorite game mode? And why?
For me both Expert Campaign mode and Scavenge are pretty equal to me, Scavenge is very simple and playing with a good team is great! Expert Campaign mode is awesome because it’s a lot more challenging and having to work as a team more brings people together.
Again thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoyed the video as much as I enjoyed making it! Suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome! Stay tuned for more!
I’ve been itching to play Hotline Miami again, need to get caught up! Last time on Hotline Miami….
