S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl – To Poke or Not To Poke

S.T.A.L.K.E.R_BloodsuckerAfter doing some research and not spoiling the game for myself I’m glad I didn’t poke the bloodsucker with a stick after all.

This is my journey leading up to my first encounter with my first S.T.A.L.K.E.R scare. What did I get myself into? Bumping into bums with guns in the sewers..

You can check out previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl here, and get the complete mod I am using to make the game look amazing here.

The Heist

Payday: The Heist

No, I am not talking about the movie Heist, I’m talking about Payday: The Heist, I know the 2nd one came out recently and I’ve been meaning to get it but I haven’t picked it up yet, with Grand Theft Auto V’s recent release I’m sure most people are on that anyways. Payday: The Heist is a FPS game with very similar mechanics as Left 4 Dead, so if you ever played L4D you’ll be sure to pick up this game very quickly.

Going on heists isn’t a easy job with 2 AI and sure would be easier and more fun with a group of 4, certainly need team work to fight off hundreds of SWAT and cops while doing the objectives. For $19.99 I’d say give this game a try, it’s not everyday that you can simply wake up and decide to rob a bank and plant C4 to escape without a hitch!

Here I have 3 heists for you to check out if you haven’t seen it yet on our Active Variety channel

Left 4 Dead 2: Dinepr EP. 3 Part 2

Bill The SacrificeHere is Left 4  Dead 2 : Dinepr Ep. 3 Part 2 on Active Variety.

Did you guys know they have a comic? I’ve always wondered what happened with Bill in the map The Sacrifice, well the comic answered it for me, it was very entertaining to read. They show parts of the survivors’ history right before the infection started.

Once again, feedbacks, suggestions, questions and criticisms are always welcome. Or tell me a joke, that’s always welcome too.

Cleamie’s Top 5 Most Anticipated Games

Hello Internet, I want to share with you guys the Top 5 Games I want to get that is coming out on Q3 and Q4 of 2013.

The Last of Us

The Last of Us

Zombies enough said. Of course there will at least be one zombie (or infected) game that I’m looking forward to every year.

The Last of Us is from the developer Naughty Dog who also developed games like Uncharted and Crash Bandicoot. The Last of Us takes place in the year 2033 a post apocalyptic urban environment in the United States, you play as Joel traveling to find a friendly resistance camp with Ellie, but on the way you will encounter the infected as well as hostile humans.

When the game was revealed at the end of 2011 I was pumped to see how the gameplay was going to be like and the plot also looks amazing.

The Last of Us is coming out in a few days on PS3, June 14th 2013 Worldwide and June 20th 2013 in Japan. I really wish it would come out on PC as well 😦

Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4

Not going to start on the Call of Duty vs Battlefield argument, sorry Call of Duty fans but Battlefield wins my heart. The environmental destruction, the community, the weapons, the gameplay every little things down to the pebbles slightly damaging you I love.

Battlefield 4 is the 13th installment of the Battlefield series, as if Battlefield 3 wasn’t amazing enough Battlefield 4 push it to the next level have you seen the E3 Multiplayer Gameplay yet? If not, Cleamie got ya 😛 Got a box of tissues? You’ll need it.

Comon now guys, there isn’t anything you can put into words that’ll describe how amazingly awesome that is :p I think it’s time for me to go No-Life on Battlefield 3 before Battlefield 4 comes out. Even though I strongly dislike Origin it’s not enough for me to not get the game cause it’s on Origin.

Battlefield 4 will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 29th 2013 in North America, October 31st 2013 in Australia, November 1st 2013 in Europe. Electronic Arts and DICE are expected to release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Grand Theft Auto V

GTA-V-Heists

I’m sure you all know the popular game series call Grand Theft Auto, there are just so much things to do in an open world game. Well guess what, Grand Theft Auto V is going to base on the modern day Los Angeles and Southern California (shout out to all my Californians :P)

Grand Theft Auto V‘s world is going to be bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV combined. Grand Theft Auto V’s single player story is going to be a little different, it’s going to be told through 3 player controlled protagonists, Michael, Trevor and Franklin, you can switch between them as they work together to accomplish an objective, outside of missions you’re free to swap between characters and explore the game’s open world. Added a bunch of different activities to do besides fucking around, stealing cars, killing innocents, running from cops, going to strip clubs you can now go scuba diving, jet skiing, tennis, and say whaaaa YOGA! Nothing better than seeing man doing yoga together right? lol

Grand Theft Auto 5

Rockstar Games never let me down with their single player story, they added so much they to this upcoming Grand Theft Auto V game, needless to say I’m really looking forward to it. It’s schedule to come out on Sept. 17th 2013 Xbox 360 and PS3. Delay is to be expected usually, they have not announced the release date for PC yet 😦 *SAD FACE*

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

AC4

I don’t know about you guys but playing the Assassin’s Creed series it always makes me feel like a bad ass jumping roof to roof and assassinating people left and right.

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag is the 6th major installment of the Assassin’s Creed series, sequel to the 2012’s Assassin’s Creed III. Assassin’s Creed is also known for it’s historical action adventure open world game style.

In Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag You will play as an assassin Edward Kenway who is also a notorious pirate and privateer operating during the Golden Age of Piracy, the story is set in the Caribbean. It’s said that in Assassins Creed IV you will have a more of a open world feel, you will encounter jungles, forts, ruins and small villages. The player can engage, board and capture passing ships and swim to nearby beaches. You will also be able to hunt on land and harpoon in the water.

Here is a gameplay demo from E3 yesterday

How cool would it be to be a pirate right? Could this be the best Assassin’s Creed yet?

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flags will be coming to PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on Oct. 29th in U.S, Oct. 31st in AU, and Nov. 1 in EU. It will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One in the future.

Lost Planet 3

Lost Planet 3

Last but not least we got Lost Planet 3, despite the fact that the game is probably a little bit more enjoyable on a console I still enjoyed playing it on a PC.  The third person shooter aspect of the game was fun, gigantic aliens and gigantic mechs is just an icing  ontop.

Lost Planet 3 takes place long before Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and Lost Planet 2 during the time of the first few human colonists on E.D.N. III sent there by NEVEC. The game does not feature militarized VS bipedal mechs like previous Lost Planet games, and instead features mechs that are the predecessors of VS mechs, Rigs aren’t armed with weapons but instead they’re armed with drills and claw arms for mining. It’s said that this Lost Planet will be more story driven than the previous one.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the stories all ties together for Lost Planet, Lost Planet 2’s story line was kind of hard to follow so I’m excited to see a more story driven Lost Planet this time.

Lost Planet 3 is coming out on Aug. 27th 2013 in the U.S. Aug. 30th 2013 in EU. Available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

So my question to you is simple.. What games are you looking forward to and why? Looking forward to seeing what games you guys are waiting for! As always leave feedbacks, suggestions and criticisms always welcome!

Yes I know Left 4 Dead video is long over due! 😦

Funny picture of Snake running away with a box of BF4 credits goes to: SkeeTls.

Left 4 Dead 2: Dniepr EP. 1

Hey everybody, enjoying the weather today?  The long awaited Left 4 Dead 2 video is finally here!

We are playing a custom map that just came out not too long ago call Dniepr, I’ve tried out a lot of custom maps and so far this one is very well done, I’m very impressed. So I thought it would be nice to share the adventure with you all! Would love to try this map on versus mode too!

A little overview of Left 4 Dead:

Left 4 Dead 2 is a sequel to Valve’s game Left 4 Dead that came out on October of 2008, both games set during the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Both Left 4 Dead 1 and Left 4 Dead 2 are a first-person shooter, it is very important to play cooperatively whether it’s Versus, Scavenge, Realism, Survival or just plain ol’ Campaign mode.

Each maps are composed with three to five stages, the Survivors have to fight their way through to reach a safehouse, on the way you may find supplies or weapons you will need to reach the goal. The final stage is a rescue stage you’ll either have to survive waves of onslaught until the rescue arrives or there are varies of challenges you face before the rescue comes depending on the map.

L4d2 Survivors

I started out playing Left 4 Dead 1 on Campaign mode, I loved it spent hours on end playing it on expert 🙂 It wasn’t till Left 4 Dead 2 when I started getting into Versus and Scavenge mode. These two 4-on-4 competitive modes are really fun when you have a great team.

Even though I stopped playing Left 4 Dead for quite a while now, after recording this video I realized how much I actually missed the game and it brings back good memories.

So for those who played Left 4 Dead 1 or Left 4 Dead 2 I want to know what is your favorite game mode? And why?

For me both Expert Campaign mode and Scavenge are pretty equal to me, Scavenge is very simple and playing with a good team is great! Expert Campaign mode is awesome because it’s a lot more challenging and having to work as a team more brings people together.

Again thanks for reading, hope you guys enjoyed the video as much as I enjoyed making it! Suggestions and feedbacks are always welcome! Stay tuned for more!

I’ve been itching to play Hotline Miami again, need to get caught up! Last time on Hotline Miami….

S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl! The beginning.

S.T.A.L.K.E.RSo.. I recorded S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl about 2 days ago, and I died 2-3 times.. I didn’t realize there isn’t an auto save in the game, I was speechless and just stopped recording without saying anything, I edited the video but I didn’t feel comfortable uploading an half-assed video so I started from scratch just for you guys! I promise I’m not slacking off! 😦

For those who don’t know S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, it’s a game that came out in 2007 published by THQ (R.I.P), took place in a 2nd nuclear disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant where a second nuclear disaster occurred in 2006. “The Marked One” or “Stalker” is the character you’re playing as.. That is an illegal explorer/artifact scavenger. You’re able to trade and talk to the NPCs in game and get “quests”, kind of like an RPG but with a first-person shooter horror flair to it 🙂 Did I mention there are also mutants?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Mutant!

I’m still learning the game myself but I really like S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl so far, I noticed there were “condition/durability” bar on the weapons which I find it cool makes it just a little bit more challenging. I really like the first-person shooter role playing feel to the game 🙂

I hope you guys had a great weekend, and I would like to thank those who gave me some suggestions and thank you for reading ♥! I’m always open for suggestions as always, trying my best to keep the blog going as often as possible.

Here is S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl enjoy!
